Though a dedicated nature watcher from the earliest age, Bruce didn’t begin avidly birding until he was a senior in college, but he has certainly made up for lost time. With nearly 45 years of birding experience in Mexico, Canada, England, Scotland, Germany, Austria and Hungary in addition to the United States,

Bruce brings an exceptional depth of field knowledge to every outing.Bruce has served as a private bird guide in California, and has accumulated over 15 years of experience leading field trips for local Audubon chapters, the San Diego Birding Festival, and the Salton Sea International Bird Festival. When He is not actively birding, Bruce is usually thinking about it, yet he still finds time to be a dedicated husband, father of two, and proud grandfather of four.
