From choosing a tour to final travel details,
we are here to make you feel prepared every step of the way.
Planning a birding tour is an exciting part of the adventure! This guide walks you through the process from choosing a tour to final travel details, so you know what to expect every step of the way.
1. Explore Upcoming Tours
Browse our upcoming tours to find the destinations, dates, and experiences that interest you. Each tour page includes a detailed itinerary, information on accommodations, what's included, and target species.
2. Reserve Your Spot
When you are ready to join a tour, complete the reservation form on the tour page or contact us directly. A reservation holds your space while we process your booking.
3. Receive Your Invoice
After we receive your reservation, we'll send you an invoice that includes the total cost, deposit amount, payment schedule, due dates, and accepted payment methods.
4. Reservation Confirmation
Your space is confirmed once we receive your deposit payment. You will receive a confirmation email with your reservation details.
5. Tour Confirmation
We monitor enrollment closely and will confirm each tour once the minimum number of participants is reached. You will receive a final confirmation with any additional information at that time.
6. Flights & Travel Arrangements
We ask that you wait to book flights or make other travel arrangements until the tour is confirmed. We highly recommend purchasing flexible, refundable tickets if you decide to book your flights before you receive our tour confirmation email.
7. Final Details
A few weeks before your tour, you will receive a final information package including meeting point, participant list, changes to itinerary (if any), lodging details, and any other important information before your tour departure.
8. On Tour
Enjoy an exceptional birding experience with expert guides, great company, and unforgettable destinations.
9. After the Tour
We'll send you a trip report and a post-tour survey. We hope you'll share your photos and experiences with us.
10. Find Your Next Adventure
When you are ready to travel with us again, explore our upcoming tours and discover where birding might take you next.
