Tour Overview

Nestled where lush Caribbean rainforest meets the quiet waters of the Bocas del Toro archipelago, this tour offers one of Central America’s most rewarding birding experiences. This 8‑day, 7‑night journey immerses you in vibrant lowland forests, mangroves, coastal overlooks, and island habitats that host an exceptional diversity of tropical species. From cotingas and trogons to tanagers, hummingbirds, and seabirds, each day brings new opportunities to explore the rich birdlife of Panama’s Caribbean slope.

Our home base for the week is Tranquilo Bay Eco Adventure Lodge, a comfortable lodge surrounded by protected forest and wildlife‑rich trails. With easy access to multiple habitats, we enjoy relaxed mornings, scenic boat outings, forest walks, and a canopy viewing platform that make birding both accessible and deeply rewarding. October is a wonderful time to visit, migration is underway, resident species are active, and the forests are alive with movement and sound.

Whether scanning for Snowy Cotinga, listening for Three‑wattled Bellbird, watching parrots cross the canopy, or exploring mangrove channels by boat, this tour offers a rich blend of discovery, comfort, and connection with one of Panama’s most enchanting regions. Join us for a week of exceptional birding, beautiful scenery, and immersive rainforest experiences in one of the most biodiverse corners of the Caribbean.
