Join us on a free bird walk and discover the vibrant birdlife that fills our local parks, preserves, and green spaces. These outings are designed to welcome everyone, regardless of experience, and provide an opportunity to appreciate nature at a relaxed pace. We aim to host at least one bird walk every month at different locations. Subscribe to our monthly newsletter and follow us on social media to stay tuned for future dates and details.

Registration is required and limited to 12 participants per walk. Please fill out the form below to reserve your spot on an upcoming bird walk. The form takes just a moment to complete and helps us prepare for an enjoyable outing for everyone.*Asterisk indicates a required field.
Event Details:
Our next bird walk led by Oscar Carmona is on Saturday, February 7th from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM - at W.G. Jones State Forest, 1328 FM 1488, Conroe, Texas. Meet us at the parking area on the north side of FM 1488.

Target species include Red-cockaded Woodpecker, Brown-headed Nuthatch, Pine Warbler, Downy Woodpecker, Red-bellied Woodpecker, Pileated Woodpecker, Eastern Bluebird, Yellow-rumped Warbler, American Goldfinch, Chipping Sparrow, among others. 

What to bring: binoculars, camera (optional), water, sunscreen, insect repellant, comfortable walking shoes. 

We will send you a reminder email a day or two before the walk. We encourage participants to check their email particularly if we have to cancel or postpone the event due to weather, or any other reason.
